Get Involved

The 800 Initiative is seeking minority firms geared toward industries highlighted in the plan (healthcare, logistics, information technology, construction, and professional services) and are seeking assistance, capital, and connectivity to resources. 

​The initiative is also interested in additional partners, corporates, and financiers.



Partners

We are dedicated to learning about other service providers who work with entrepreneurs, especially underserved entrepreneurs. It is critical to understand this landscape to develop alignment for greater scale. We are also seeking partners who provide access to minority firms, marketing platforms, financing, and various other resources.

Corporates

The 800 Initiative is seeking to build better bridges to the corporate community to provide improved access to proven minority vendors, seek their support of the effort, and encourage participation in various marketing pathways to change the narrative around minority business.

Financiers

This effort is seeking lenders and investors who can provide financial support in the form of both debt and equity financing.

Minority-Owned Firms

We are seeking Memphis-based minority firms in industries highlighted in the plan (healthcare, logistics, information technology, construction, and professional services) seeking assistance, capital, and connectivity to resources.
Minority Firms w/ Paid Employees:

  1. Has customers and/or revenue
  2. Has not achieved product market fit
  3. Business model needs revisiting
  4. Operating model needs revisiting
  5. Launching new product, service, or revenue line
  6. Revenue > $1M​
Minority Firms without Paid Employees:

  1. Refining their business model
  2. Refining their operating model
  3. In process of compiling sales/investor assets
  4. In early stages of rolling out product or service
  5. Has revenue but < $1M
